Students with Special Needs

What sets us apart?

At Malena's Music Lessons & More we strive to individualize all classes and lessons, tailored to each student's strengths, interests, and opportunities. We offer an interactive, hands-on approach to learning that challenges students while having fun. We love working with students who have challenges and/or special needs!

Students with varying challenges and/or disabilities have just as much of a right to learn and grow as anyone else. They DO have the ability to learn! We will go at their individual pace & use techniques that help each student learn best.

We have experience working with students including but not limited to: Autism Spectrum, Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, Anxiety, Trauma, Non-Verbal, Hard of Hearing, physical deformities, ADD/ADHD, Down's Syndrome, & Williams Syndrome.

Although not certified or licensed in music therapy, teachers use proven & solid techniques to work on coping skills, redirection, focus, memory, concentration, & more.

We believe that everyone has the right & the ability to learn and grow, and that everyone should have this opportunity.
